2017 Tour of Nantucket – Sunday, August 13th, 7am

Ride two loops (B race) or three loops (A race) of the Milestone and Polpis roads. These 28 and 42 mile races are mostly flat with some gently rising terrain and outstanding views! The roads are open to traffic, but the corners will be manned with police/volunteers as necessary. Yellow line violations will be enforced.
TT bikes are not allowed.

The A race begins at 7:00 am and the B race will follow at 7:05 am. The start line is at the intersection of the Milestone Rd and New St in ‘Sconset by the water tower and the finish line is just east of the entrance to Sankaty Head Golf Club where Polpis Road becomes Sankaty Road.
Please plan to ride to the start line as parking is very limited.

Portable toilets will be available at the start line.

REGISTRATION

Registration and early number pick up will be available:
Saturday, August 12th 5:00pm – 6:00pm at Atlas Restaurant, 130 Pleasant Street.

Race day registration will be available from 6:00am – 6:45am for an additional $5, but we encourage you to register early online.

If you plan to register day-of, please arrive early and bring cash.

PRIZES

This year prizes (medals and cash) will be awarded to the top 3 finishers as follows:

A Race
Men: 1st place: $75                    Women: 1st place: $75
2nd place: $50                                2nd place: $50*
3rd place:  $25                                3rd place: $25*

* If fewer than 10 women register, only the 1st place prize will be awarded.

PRIMES: $50 will be awarded to the first man AND first woman to cross the FINISH line following the FIRST lap of the race.

B Race
Men: 1st place: $65                    Women: 1st place: $65
2nd place: $40                                2nd place: $40*
3rd place: $15                                 3rd place: $15*

* If fewer than 10 women register, only the 1st place prize will be awarded.

PRIMES: $50 will be awarded to the first man AND first woman to cross the FINISH line following the FIRST lap of the race.

Prizes will be awarded 30 minutes after the finish of the A race near the START line. You must be present to receive your award.
